How is it the end of July already? I've barely done any summer activities. I need to get back to the water, last weekend was my first visit this summer.
Anyway, over the past couple of weeks a few things have really caught my attention. Check out what I've been checking out!
ONe | Lions for Lambs
I stumbled across Lions for Lambs one Saturday afternoon and put it on in the background. The movies starts off bouncing back and forth between three separate stories, a politician, a group of soldiers, and a political science professor. About fifteen minutes in, my chores were forgotten and my eyes were glued to the screen.
Two | Dave Matthews Band
I have been a fan of DMB long before any of my friends knew who they were. In Middle School when everyone was listening to the latest Justin Bieber soundtrack I was listening to Stand Up. Early this summer the band came out with a new album, Come Tomorrow, and I’m just listening to it on repeat! I even made it to my fifth, that’s right people, fifth Dave concert in June!
Three | The House of God
After binging all fifteen seasons of ER on Hulu, I caught the medical drama bug. I recently finished The House of God, by Samuel Shem. This novel strips away the medical profession of all its fame and glory by showing us the grueling life of a medical intern.
Four | Nike Odyssey React
Every once in a while I’ll go out for a long jog (let’s be real, mostly a walk) and my ankles and knees will kill me. I was never a big runner, so I figured all sneakers would be good for running. IDIOT! I did some research on what a good running shoe needs, looked into those, crossed off the ugly ones and vuala Nike Odyssey React.
Five | Paul McCartney Carpool Karaoke
Twenty four minutes of pure joy. Watch, laugh, and enjoy! Thank you James Corden for bringing this into our lives.
Now, go enjoy summer!
